Caring for your Caviar

  • My Caviar takes the utmost care in storing caviar in a temperature controlled refrigeration system. Which guarantees freshness & flavour.

  • PACKAGING
  • To ensure the freshness of your purchase during transit, caviar is packed in a specially designed insulated box with sufficient ice packs to allow for a travel period of up to 72 hours. The expected transit window is between 24 – 48 hours. We encourage our client to keep & reuse the ice packs & insulated box, which are particularly handy for transporting caviar.

  • HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CAVIAR
  • My Caviar has curated a collection of caviar sourced from all over the world. Unlike many other caviar retailers, our caviar is always packed at source. This means My Caviar never repacks, ensuring the integrity of your caviar and also extending its shelf life.
  • Your caviar should be stored just around freezing point but not fully frozen. Anywhere between 0 to -2 degrees Celsius is ideal. Most household refrigerators won’t reach this temperature, so determine the coldest area of your refrigerator and designate it as your caviar storage spot.
  • Take care to store your caviar on a flat surface with the lid facing upwards as caviar contains natural oil which is required to be evenly distributed in the tin.

  • HOW TO SERVE
  • For the optimum flavour, remove your caviar from the fridge 10 minutes before serving. For serving suggestions, wine pairings & recipes, please head over to our blog page for inspiration. If there is any caviar left after the initial serving (highly unlikely!) replace the lid tightly and return to the coldest part of your fridge. Consume within 2 days.
